Should the NHS nurses, Paramedics and Midwives get a more than a 1% pay rise.
Well in my opinion yes they should, these are the people who do a fantastic job, in doing their best to keep patients, happy, healthy and Alive in their times of need.
Lets face it The MP's have awarded themselves a pay rise of 10%, are you having a laugh 10% for what, someone please explain to me what they do, half of them are already millionaires, or were in high paid jobs, yet they give themselves a pay rise, above that of inflation.
I believe they should do a hard days work, yes I know their will be many of you reading this saying Mark, what are you on about you are un-employed, my answer is yes I am but at no fault of my own, I used to get up at 4.15am to be in work for 6.30am, sometimes I would do 12 to 14 hours shifts, I would sometimes finish at 9.30pm in the night not get to be until 11/12 o'clock and would have to be up at 4.15am in the morning to be in work for 6.30am, against the European time directive, but this is not about me, it is about the NHS staff.
These people do a grand job, Look after people, some will leave hospital, some won't, it is a thankless job.
They do deserve not a 1% pay rise but the 10% the MP's are getting and the MP's are the ones who should get the 1% pay rise.
MP's are in my opinion in it for themselves or to get there photo in the paper, not for the people, not for the country for themselves.
So my answer to an NHS staff pay rise YES, YES, YES, they are worth every penny.
